What FOB includes

FOB means the seller delivers the cargo to the loading port and handles export documents. Risk and cost pass to the buyer once the goods are on board the vessel nominated by the buyer. Sea freight and insurance are usually arranged by the buyer; on separate agreement we can quote these as well.

Seller obligations

The seller is responsible for batch readiness, marking, packing and the export document set. The standard set includes the invoice, packing list and product certificates; test reports and a photo report can be added on request. The exact document list is agreed in the specification before the batch starts, which prevents customs delays.

Buyer obligations

The buyer arranges sea freight, insurance and customs clearance in the destination country, and pays import duties and taxes. For budgeting, the HS code of each item and the duty rates in the importing country should be confirmed in advance. Inland delivery from port to warehouse and customs broker fees are additional cost lines to allow for.

Customs clearance in the EAEU

Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan share the EAEU single customs territory: documents and duty rates are unified. Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan follow national rules. The exact document set depends on the HS code and certification requirements; conformity certificates and declarations are usually issued by the importer.
